One of the largest earthquakes in recent Japanese history has shaken the country in the north eastern regions. I live in the center of Japan and am currently staying at my mom's place in the south western part of Japan.
I have heard from a few of my colleagues in Tokyo but not the whole team so I am still worried. However, I just thought I would post to let my friends and family know that I am ok.
Tsunami warnings have been issued in almost all parts of the archipelago and other parts of Asia.
Will try to post something again later as soon as I find out more about what should be posted here...
all the best,
Tulsa

Dear Tulsa, when I turned on my tv this morning, I was astouned to hear of the earthquake in Japan. I immediately thought of you and your family.
You are so very thoughtful to put up this post for your friends around the world. I am so, so glad that you and your family are all right, and send best wishes and prayers for all in your country.

glad you are okay. Now hoping tsunami wont hit other parts of asia ..
Thank you Frances! I'm trying to cover all the bases with Twitter, facebook and blog! Phone connections are pretty bad in The northern parts of Japan so social networks are proving to be quite useful.
Like Small Kucing says, I am now worried about the tsunami reaching out to other countries... I hear it's headed towards Hawaii and the west coast too....
Although our bloggin time has been long and in between this past year, I still thought of you during this time of crisis and am glad to hear that you are well. Wishing the same for your friends and colleagues. Over the past month, I have learned more than ever what a wonderful world this blogging world is, how close we all are with my daughter spending time in southern New Zealand. When the earthquake hit there just days after she arrived, I was not only able to make contact with her through this wonderful technology but also able to follow the stories that continued long after the initial shock. The upcoming days are sure to be hard for Japan, as the true devastation is revealed. Please know your friends in the U.S. are with you in thoughts and hopefully action as you begin to heal. All my best, Cyndy
glad to hear you are...
My prayers go out to you and the people of Japan as you go through these horrific events.
Tulsa, I am back from my workday and now learn that there are certain fears re the nuclear power plants. Hoping good hopes, sending along positive wishes and prayers. Can you tell that I am a bit of a fraidy cat about nuclear power?

Good to hear you are OK... What a tragedy for Japan and its people. We are all thinking of you.
I've been meaning to come say hi for so long, I am so sorry for this tragic happening Tulsa.
I am glad (and relieved) to know your okay and i will continue to send my prayers to Japan and it's people. Oh dear, what a mess.

So glad to know you are ok. Thank you for posting this. So hoping your friends and family are safe and am saying prayers for the whole country and especially, now, concerning the nuclear plant. We were not hit too hard in Oregon (southern OR got it the worst) but I've just heard they are predicting more tsunami waves for the OR coast monday night.
Be safe and take good care!
Kirsten
Dear Tulsa,
thinking of you as soon as I heard about the earthquake! I am glad you are safe and hope the best for your colleagues and friends. I heard from friends in Tokyo that they are alright, but unable to get home and staying at the office.
Best wishes,
Merisi
Tulsa, so glad you're OK. ♥alaine
Dear Tulsa,
I was hoping that you would be far away from the devastation. Thank you for posting that you are OK.
Most of the people that I know are from the Hyogo and the are OK but they are very very sad.
One woman that I know who lived with my family when she and I were 16, was from Sendai. I still haven't heard anything from her.
I've got cards to send to my friends in Japan, but no words to put on them. I really don't know what I can say in the face of such and enormous tragedy.
Peace and love to you.
Jeri
