Why I have been visiting gardens these days...

The view from my room...I'm not necessarily a country girl but I am not a complete city girl either. So, when I see a place with beautiful flowers and trees, I kind of get sucked in...

After visiting the Tezuka Osamu Manga Museum I walked to the neighboring garden.
They had a rose garden that wasn't in full bloom yet but there were a few beauties.

There were some interesting fellows too...
?

and some of my favorites as well...

Then I realized that these flowers and trees were surounded by buildings just like me...

On the way out I found a building covered in ivy with a nice garden in it too.  It was hard to believe that this was a Chinese restaurant.
Too bad it was a bit expensive for a "regular day" but the Mr has promised that we can try it on a "special occasion".

Beautiful flower pictures. I love parks and gardens--a little bit of nature in a cityscape is always welcome.

Tulsa,
hello there,
that maroon rose is like velvet - I had a dress that colour when I was a teenager - it was a favourite...

The red maple with the ivy building is gorgeous too. You are lucky to have these little sanctuaries in the city to recharge and feel invigorated by nature.
Lovely post thanks Tulsa
Happy Days

Jelica, I hope you are feeling better!

Delwyn, I can imagine what a beautiful dress it must have been!
I don't know what I would do without these oasis type places...maybe stay glued to the computer!

Those flowers are stunning and I'm sure they're making the concrete blocks look so much better. But I'm really interested in that Manga museum, I'm a big fan of Manga - was it any good?

This was lovely...I love water plants too.
We all need that dose of nature don't we?

Merisi, thank you for stopping by! YOUR PHOTOS are amazing!

Chiara.U, I will let you know what the flower's name is as soon as I figure it out too! It is neat to know that we can enjoy the same flowers in different parts of the world.

Polly, The Manga Museum was full of people the day I went so I didn't get any good pictures for the inside. There was a lot on the history of Tezuka Osamu's career. I learned that he was talented from childhood. There were also interesting pictures, games as well as Tezuka's comic books to buy and to read (like a library). I will be writing more about Manga soon. There are Manga Cafe's in Japan that you might find interesting!

Carol, nature and literature are two things that we really need, aren't they?!

Manga Cafe?!? Sounds like heaven to me. I'll have to start planning my Japan trip soon!

Looking forward to Tezuka Osamu's post
